ash...
that's what Ruby started calling her little brother all on her own. I think it's pretty cute. When I was her age, I had a special nickname for my little brother too. His name is Aaron, but I called him Onie. I think having a nickname for someone can be fun, especially when it's used as a term of endearment. I believe this is the case with Ruby and her brother, as she only calls him Ash when she feels (and wants to demonstrate) love and affection towards him. When she's hostile or feels threatened in any way...he goes back to being Asher.
Today, though, he's Ash...and that's a really good thing.

i keep mentally nicknaming asher, ashy, which is why it has stayed in my head... hopefully, my mind will come up with something better.
He is SO cute, and I just love the pictures of Ruby. She and Averie would have a lovely time together!
haha.. that is so funny that when she's hostile or threatened it's back to asher... my brother was NICHOLAS only when i was mad at him. haha
That is so sweet. :) You've got some great kids there, Nicole!
Asher is getting big fast. I bet it is so great to watch Ruby interact with little Asher. As far as nicknames go I won't repeat the one I use to call you sometimes. If your curious just call.
What a cute little nickname for him. I've been thinking of you and Asher since I left, I hope things are looking up! I'll call you when I get home. Love you.
He is such a darling boy. It was so fun to visit with you the other day at the baby shower! Hope all is going well and that little Asher's tummy is getting better!
My nephew's name is Asher, and we have taken to calling him, Smasher, Crasher, Thrasher, Basher, and on occasion Flasher. (and of course the shortened versions of each name Smash, Bash, etc.) He is quite rambunctious.
