baby, oh baby

Grandma Judy gave Ruby a Madame Alexander doll for her 1st birthday. Surprisingly, Ruby wasn't too interested in the doll at that point. So, I decided to put it back in the box and stow it away for a couple of months...(or at least until I felt like she was ready, and would actually be able to appreciate it). About a month ago, I cracked it out, and was able to watch her face light up as I handed it to her. Immediately, she knew exactly what it was, as she beamed "Baby"! Ever since that day, Ruby and baby have been inseparable. Baby goes to sleep at night with Ruby. Baby goes down for naps with Ruby. Baby eats when Ruby eats. Baby even gets to come to church with us on Sundays, (and actually assists in helping Ruby maintain some reverence).
Baby gets the very best care and plenty of love from her little mommy. The other day, after I wiped Ruby's nose, she turned around and wiped baby's nose. Ruby attacks her with kisses, and smothers her with hugs. I have even seen her use baby as a pillow! The cutest thing to me, is what Ruby says whenever she picks up her little doll..."Baby, oh Baby!"... she exclaims, swaying back and forth, baby pressed firmly against her chest.

Enough to make a mother's heart melt...

She is oh so cute. Those pics are precious. Baby's are way cuter than trucks and dino's.

She is so darling!!! With all that love she has from her mommy and daddy, it only makes sense that she has a ton of love to give - even to her baby dolly.

When she has a sibling, Ruby is going to love 'em up!

Too cute for words! Alex has a baby and treats her just the same. Baby has actually come in handy when it is time to brush her teeth...because Baby needs to brush her teeth too...right?! My favorite thing is on the monitor, in the morning, I can hear Alex singing and whispering to Baby and I can just imagine her rocking and cuddling with her!
BLESS BABIES!
